Sasser Participates in Essential CICTI Training for Healthcare Restoration Services
Sasser Restoration invested in the CICTI Certified Healthcare Manager Training for eight team members and other healthcare facility directors, managers and engineers from outside of the organization. From restoration technicians to project executives, Sasser team members and others completed the 8-hour training course by demonstrating a benchmark level of ICRA knowledge and skillsets.
This course and training are essential in providing the highest level of service to healthcare and long-term care clients after a water, fire, or environmental emergency. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 31 patients acquire a healthcare-association infection (HAIs) while receiving treatment for other conditions while in a healthcare setting.
HAIs could result from environmental factors, poor air quality, a lack of sterile environments and other related causes. To prevent HAIs and assist in the successful operations of healthcare facilities, infection control practices must be emphasized and followed, especially in the aftermath of a disaster.
As a leading restoration company specializing in water, fire and environmental disasters, Sasser Restoration understands the importance of working with Infection Control Specialists and following all industry standards and safety guidelines. Because of this understanding and commitment to service, Sasser Restoration was proud to offer the CICTI Certified Healthcare Manager (CCHM) training to its team. Boasting a workforce who has earned their CCHM certification, Sasser Restoration has the skillset, knowledge and equipment to serve its healthcare and long-term care clients at the highest level.
The CICTI Manager Certification Course is intended for those directly involved with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) implementation. Through this 8-hour course, participants learned the core concepts of infection control, budgeting, design, and maintenance strategies that focused on both operational healthcare risks and corporate liability protection.
As a hands-on course, course attendees not only learned about ideas and concepts but were given the opportunity to utilize and apply the knowledge directly. Through using monitoring equipment during the exercises, participants were able to derive an understanding of the effectiveness and limitations of select strategies. Sasser Restoration is proud to offer training courses like this to its employees to not only further their career goals and capabilities but to also better serve its healthcare and long-term care clients.
