The Problem
After an extended period, a leak from a large water fountain was discovered in a hospital’s OBGYN department common room. The leak damaged a shared wall with an exam room, the primary lobby and the elevator suite. Due to the water damage and the length of exposure, suspect growth was found within the wall cavities of the common area, the adjoining exam room and the elevator lobby. Promptly responding, Sasser teams installed HEPA equipment and hard containment barriers in the lobby, proceeding with demolition to remove affected materials and thorough cleaning and sanitization of all impacted areas. Third-party assessment confirmed the successful completion of the remediation work, ensuring a safe and healthy environment within the hospital’s OBGYN Department.
